Should the Suns trade the No. 1 pick for Karl-Anthony Towns?

In the last 24 hours, it has been reported thatA the Suns are open to trading the top pickA in this yeara€™s NBA Draft. Just last night, itA  was also reportedA that Karl-Anthony Towns and the Minnesota Timberwolves are currently a€œnot in a good place.a€ The clashing of these two stories could be the perfect storm for the Phoenix Suns, as they are starving for a good big man.

If the Timberwolves truly cannot make it work for Towns, dealing him for that pick would be a good idea. Arizona big man DeAndre Ayton sits atop of the draft and could replace Towns.

A tweet like the one below certainly will stoke the rumor-mongering.

Booker and Towns were teammates at the University of Kentucky and had one of the best seasons in program history, losing only one game the entire year. Despite being one of the worst teams in the NBA, the Phoenix Suns didA rank tenthA in the NBA in points in the paint per game. The only concern with Towns is his defense and he would be expected to play more consistent protecting the rim if the Suns were to actually try to make a trade for him.
